Chef Katherine Afendoules-Emmenegger has had the pleasure of working in the hospitality industry in a variety of food service operations over the past 36 years. Her love of cooking began at an early age, as she preferred to shadow her mother (an excellent cook) around the kitchen rather than the usual childhood activities.
For the past 24 years, Katherine has been an instructor of culinary arts, both in Los Angeles and San Diego. She has served as the Executive Chef at the Great News! Cooking School in Pacific Beach, and has been a featured chef on many local news broadcasts, as well as the San Diego Living program on CW 6.
She has a vast interest in all things culinary, teaching an array of topics and lifestyle associated cuisine all with a focus on quality, health, and nutrition.
Chef Katherine is a member of the American Culinary Federation, and was awarded Chef of the Year for her chapter affiliation in both 1991 and 2006.
